What is a Corset?  

A type of support garment that combines a bra with a waist-cincher. A corset shapes the midsection and supports the breasts. It typically fits closely to the body. Vertical boning, which can be flexible or rigid, is typically placed at the front, sides, and back of the mid-section for extra support and to smooth and emphasize your figure. Corsets usually close at the back with a tall hook-and-eye panel or an adjustable lace closure. Modern corsets can be designed to support the bust and shape the waist. They can be worn as a shaping garment or to create a sexy, alluring look. They, more than bustiers focus on reducing the size of  your waist.
