You could say that Quiksilver virtually invented the board short when it introduced swimwear with features specifically suited to surfing. Since 1970, the brand has been known for innovations in style, construction and design of swimwear for the active crowd. Boardshorts feature a long leg, a classic flat rigid waistband, with lace-up ties and a hook-and-eye closure. Many styles have a small cargo pocket with loops or tethers to keep small items safe. Designs range from basic solids to wild prints and stripes in every imaginable color. Quiksilver board shorts and other swim styles are made of fast-drying fabrics like cotton blends and a polyester/spandex blend.

In keeping with its surfing tradition, Quiksilver also offers the athletic shirts known as rash guards. Made of body-hugging spandex and polyester, these swimwear tops are meant to protect the skin from abrasion. In colder weather they are ideal under wetsuits and are also often worn alone for surfing, diving and other water sports. Save your skin from the wax and sand build-up on your board, from blazing sun and even from jelly fish stings. Some Quiksilver rash guards feature a loop that attaches to your surfboard.

Quiksilver is not only in the forefront of surfing swimwear, but spreads the gospel of surfing through videos and with sponsorships. They've expanded their offerings behind swimwear to women's surfwear as well as clothing for snowboarding.
