You wouldn't know it to look around a mall these days, but t-shirts were designed to be worn as underwear. Many traditionalists say that it should remain that way, but however you choose to wear them there are clear benefits to wearing an undershirt. Obviously the most common reason most men wear them is to avoid sweating onto a more expensive dress shirt or sweater. A crewneck is the best option for this sort of wear because it provides protection to a fully buttoned collar. If you choose to wear your shirt with a few buttons open then a v-neck is a must. You do not want your t-shirt to show. If you feel to cramped or covered then a tank top is probably the best option for you. These usually have a low neck style and always have open arms. You can find classic options of all these styles from Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, and Munsingwear, but if you'd like something with a more designer look and feel you can find other options from Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren, or Boss Hugo Boss.
