Manufacturers hear you and offer styles from old-school board short to shorter swimwear with a working fly. There are several fly designs, all constructed to stay closed and lay flat. Most also have some sort of closure at the waist, including rigid board short waistbands with drawstring ties or buttons. The most common functional fly has a velcro closure often accompanied by a drawstring waist. This style stays firmly closed and has a nice flat line. Velcro closures are also easy to open and close.
