At long last someone wised up and made boxer (any mens underwear) briefs with the waistband seam on the side! I suffer nerve damage and the seam of underwear rubbing on my spine area sets off intolerable pain. I ordered a 2 pack of these and they are a God send with regard to my nerve sensitivity. The overall comfort is good as well and the material on the solids is soft and comfy. I have been wearing a jersey knit boxer and placing surgical paper tape across the back of the waistbands and the switch to the briefs is easy given the trade off of less pain.
