This tank-top/undershirt is hands-down the best base layer, for sports, formal or just hanging around the house. It is simple elegance. I'm not sure about thread count or type of cotton, but it is the most comfortable piece of clothing that I own. It is also long enough so that it stays tucked into pants. Sleeveless so that it doesn't bunch up under a dress shirt in the underarm area. I always wear it while traveling, under a Royal-Robbins Global Traveler shirt (the one with the huge hidden pockets.)
