To get the best fit and to account for future shrinkage from washing, buy one size up unless you like your boys really snug. Hand washing is best to get the longest life outta your jock. This is my new favorite jock. It is very comfortable and has great support that lasts all day. I won't wear anything else during a workout. It feels like I have nothing on and everything doesn't bounce around while I'm moving. The fabric gets softer and contours to your body after a few washes. Big box athletic stores no longer carry Bike supporters, thanks to HisRoom I can still get my favorite jockstrap. I haven't purchased Bike jocks in years and noticed the waistband is not quite as plush and heavy as my old performance cotton straps. The waistband has just enough stability to anchor the pouch and keep it in place.
