
The Hand Knit Hosiery Company of Sheboyqan, Wisconsin was started in 1905 when Theodore Roosevelt was president . Born to manufacture heavy woolen work socks and liner mittens for lumbermen. Today the company goes by the name of Wigwam. It manufactures 232 styles of socks, in more than 100 colors, in 17 sizes, and 29 different fibers. The Wigwam likes to say “We’ve been helping people make the really tough choices for 95 years.”
