De Soto was founded in 1990 by triathletes Emilio De Soto and Dan Neyenhuis. During that decade, many innovative products were developed for multi-sport athletes, and De Soto was the at the lead of that design. From the transition pack, to the trisuit and tri shorts with thin cycling pads, to tri jerseys with zippers, and run shorts with pockets---all were De Soto innovations.
